Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
- Marianne Williamson
What would you do differently today if your life was void of fear?
How would you show up for yourself and others?
What would your work look like?
Your free time? Shadow consciousness says:
Don’t shine too bright.
Don’t take up too much space.
There’s too much at stake to step out of line.
Light consciousness says:
It is safe for you to trust yourself wholeheartedly.
When you trust in yourself and your gifts you shine brightly without fear.
When you shine brightly you have the power to magnetize whatever you may want or need to you, and you inspire others to do the same.
Know your power.
Shine as bright as can be because this is who you are and this is how you serve. Owning our truth, our light, and our power requires us to take responsibility for how much choice we actually have every single day.
It requires us to step up, speak up, and do better for ourselves and each other. Our shadow will always make us believe that our hands are tied or that we’re doing it wrong.
You’re only doing it wrong if you’re doing nothing at all. So, I challenge you. The next time you hear that voice in your head that says:
Who am I to... [insert that thing you think you shouldn't say, do, think, feel, create...]
Take a deep breath, sink into your heart, and ask yourself:
Who am I not to?
